Trent C. Pierce, DMD, MSD
Meet Dr. Pierce
Originally from Virginia, Dr. Pierce received his Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson University and then attended the Medical University of South Carolina to obtain his degree in Doctorate of Dental Medicine and his specialty training in Periodontics, in addition to his Masters of Dental Science.
Dr. Pierce has extensive training in periodontal therapy, bone and periodontal regenerative surgery, periodontal plastic surgery, pre-prosthetic surgery and dental implant therapy. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a current member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Southern Academy of Periodontology, the South Carolina Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He maintains privileges at the Ralph H. Johnson Veterans Hospital in Charleston, SC and resides as Adjunct Clinical Instructor to the faculty of both the Medical University of South Carolina’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry and Post-Doctoral Periodontics residencies. Additionally, he has been serving internationally on short-term mission trips for over 10 years, most recently with the Dental Community Fellowship, and has served in over 4 countries.
When away from work, Dr. Pierce enjoys spending time with his wife Amy, a general dentist also in Winston-Salem, and his two dogs. He continues to appreciate the pursuit of technology and innovation, the satisfaction of helping others and the opportunity to perform dynamic dentistry.
