Trent C. Pierce, DMD, MSD

Meet Dr. Pierce

Dr. Pierce is a native of Virginia and joined Forsyth Periodontal Associates in 2014. During his training at the Medical University of South Carolina Postdoctoral Periodontics program thereafter, he has vast clinical exposure to conventional periodontal therapy (deep cleaning and gum disease surgery), regenerative treatment (growing bone longside teeth and in areas where there are no teeth for dental implants), diverse ridge and sinus augmentation procedures, and implant therapy with various implant systems. Additionally, he has had the unique opportunity to learn periodontal plastic surgery from Dr. P.D. Miller and Dr. Dalton Keith, both well published and respected names on soft tissue (recession) regeneration and osseous (bone) regeneration, respectively. Furthermore, he has worked as faculty on several occasions for The Russo Seminars: Bone and Soft Tissue Grafting Cadaver Course (a surgery course taken by dentists wanting to learn certain specialized surgical trades).

When he is outside of the office, Dr. Pierce enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons, and when time allows, skiing, wake boarding, running and furniture restoration.
