Study Clubs

Spear Study Club

Drs. Suttle and Pierce currently lead two study clubs that are associated with the Spear Institute. These clubs consists of local general dentists and other specialists who attend regally meetings to collaborate on actual cases to expand their proficiencies. Spear Study Club members find that the small-group learning environment and high caliber of material makes it easy to master new skills and grow the confidence required to take on more complex cases. These clubs alone complete double the yearly continuing education hour requirements for dentists, which is a testament to the amount of learning that is being achieved monthly in these groups.

Greater Forsyth Hygiene Study Club

The Greater Forsyth Hygiene Study Club has been created to provide a vibrant forum of continuous learning that will further the careers of its members and advance the future of dental hygiene. This study club is an offshoot of the Greater Forsyth Study Club.

The Greater Forsyth Hygiene Study Club represents a way for hygienists to receive world-class Continuing Education without having to travel. It will meet four times per year, with a minimum of 10 Continuing Education hours each year. Meals will be provided at all events. This study club is not meant to replace any of the local Hygiene societies, but rather to provide an opportunity for local hygienists to experience a different learning forum, and be able to take their knowledge to the next level.”

Please contact Debby Waugh, our office’s practice manager, if you are interested in the hygiene study club.
